Out of the Ordinary

'Out of the Ordinary' is an exhibition of nine of the winners of the Korean 'Young Architect of the Year'. Curated by Hyungmin Pai, who won the Golden Lion for the Korean pavilion at the Venice Bienniale 2014, the exhibition presents young architects working in a changing financial and urban environment.

Using the existing grid like structure of the London Metropolitan University ground floor gallery as a base, we imposed a rigid and rhythmic order and a strict neutrality to the exhibition. This approach showcases the similarities in the architects response to their shared setting, but also serves to accentuate their differences and individuality.
